ABOUT ANNA BRENNA

Anna Brenna was born in Italy into a highly musical family - her mother was a lyrical singer – and her early education was focused on musical interpretation. This inspiring family environment and her own musical vocation which became evident in her hometown, at the Conservatorio "Giuseppe Verdi" in Milan, under the tutorship of Maestro Alberto Mozzati, left an indelible mark on the development of her career.

Later, once in Buenos Aires, she improved on her performance with masters of the Conservatorio Nacional and attended master classes and seminars with Nelson Göerner, Pía Sebastiani, Antonio De Raco, Néstor Zulueta, Giuseppe Scotese, Mirta Herrera, Marta Pariente and Ana María Trenchi (PhD).She earned a scholarship from the Mozarteum Argentino to attend the first Camping Musical de Tandil where she studied instrumental chamber music with violinist Juan Kaloustian and was invited by the University of Florida to attend courses by Kevin M. Sharpe.

As a piano soloist, she performed in many recitals in Argentina and also participated in performances with chamber instruments groups and singers. Anna has offered performances in environments where classical music is not widely played and people does not have the opportunity of listening live classical music very often. She is currently developing and conducting a meeting cycle called “Maestros de todos los Tiempos” which is a gathering of people interested in music, art and literature representing each period in history, with live performances and presentations.
